HIS SPIRIT - For Those Who Believe

1/7/2007

speech bubble representing person 3 talkingThese are very beautiful things, because when we are willing to trust Jesus’ Blood enough to let go, then and only then will He put His Spirit inside of us. According to Galatians 3, Ephesians 1, Romans 8, and ten other places, His Spirit is for those who believe. The miracle of the Creator of the Universe coming to live inside of you is for those who believe. The miracle of a second birth and entering into a kingdom that men’s eyes can’t see is for those who believe. Christ in you, the Anointing in you, the Hope of Glory, is for those who believe and fall backwards in the chair (Col.1:27; 1Jn2:27). Jesus said that rivers of living water gushing from the inner man are only for those who believe (John 7:38).

There is a false religion and according to Jesus, many people are on that road. That false religion has nothing to do with “denomination” or “no denomination.” It has to do with people who do not truly believe in Jesus. So God’s call to all of us isn’t to join some different kind of group. God’s call to all of us is to be willing, by His Blood, to lean back in the chair past the point of no return in true faith. And in addition, to call every single person we meet, whether they wear the Name of Jesus or not, to come to that same belief.

The Bible doesn’t say that the spirit of prophecy is a testimony of “a changed lifestyle.” The Bible says that the spirit of prophecy is a testimony of Yesu, of Jesus (Rev 19:10). The Good News of Jesus sets men free and then their lifestyle changes. When we lean back in the chair past the point of no return and we have true faith and true belief in Jesus, then He gives us as a gift, Fullness of Life. “I have come that you might have fullness of Life” (John 10:10). It flows out of the Spirit of Jesus living inside people who truly believe.

We won’t be able to copy that life just because it seems like a better life. We won’t be able to copy that life just because it seems to be in the Bible more than some other kind of life. Rather, at the Name of Jesus, our knees collapse. We call on the Name of the Lord and we lean back in the chair until we can’t catch ourselves anymore. “God has made this Jesus whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.” And He came to bring us Fullness of Life if we will trust Him. The Good News about Jesus and the Good News about the Kingdom are really very much one. Amen?
